OFFICER ACCUSED AFTER BIGOT CHANT ON YOUTUBE !
A POLICEMAN has been charged with a hate crime over YouTube footage of Rangers fans trashing toilets at Celtic Park during an old firm clash.

The 26-year -old Officer was tracked down by Strathclyde police colleagues after being spotted in the 10 – minute on-line clip. He has been charged with sectarian breach of the Peace and suspended from duty. The video shows Rangers fans vandalising the ceiling and lights of a toilet on Celtic’s ground while chanting: ” Parkead’s falling down”. Some fans are heard singing sectarian songs and mocking the death of former Celtic legend Tommy Burns. They also chant: ” If you hate Strathclyde police, clap your hands.”
The footage has been viewed almost 17,000 time since it was uploaded the day after last month’s SPL clash which Celtic won 3 – 0. One viewer posted the comment: ” Id expect this footage to be used as evidence, on both criminal damage and sectarian singing, which I had the unpleasant experience of witnessing for almost the whole match in the company of my 10-year-old son. A 16-year-old youth has also been charged with sectarian breach of the peace and vandalism over the same video.
A police spokeswomen said: ” The man is a Strathclyde police officer who was off duty at the time of the alleged incident he has been suspended. ” We would like to reassure the public that we take robust action in relation to this sort of activity and any member of the public, whatever their profession, will be treated in exactly the same manner. The Force have urged the public to help identify other people in the video who have not yet been traced.
