The ongoing Neglect and Torture inflicted on Gary McDaid

It has been brought to the attention of the IRPWA that Gary McDaid is suffering a debilitating illness within the walls of MagHaberry but has been informed by the authorities that he will not be receiving treatment as he is not a sentenced prisoner.

Gary suffers from a serious form of Glaucoma and there is a genetic family history of this disease which has led to family members suffering complete blindness.

The optician who was able to gain access to examine him stated that he had not seen such a rapid regression in one so young and without treatment, could lead to Gary losing his sight.His feet have also swollen to such an extent, he can’t put on shoes.

Last week saw charges against Gary for wrecking his cell. Any and all personal artifacts were removed including photographs of his children.

Gary is and has been on dirty protest as a result of the sectarian authorities within the gaol granting MI5 free reign to his cell to make approaches and mentally torture him.

He is existing in his own waste in solitary confinement with Loyalist prisoners being given access to bang on his cell door and shout threats consistently and this all appears to be part of a greater agenda by shadowy British crown forces to exert pressure on him through this form of torture.

His existence, ill, in a bare holding cell with a one inch rubber mattress and living with the stench and health implications through his protest, some would have you think had been consigned to history.

This is reality in 2013. This is British torture on Irish soil and typifies the age old disregard towards human rights for those not beholden to the British crown.

Help end the neglect in MagHaberry..Help highlight the ongoing injustices by a cruel British torture regime and those who back them.

END THE ONGOING ABUSE AND TORTURE OF IRISH POLITICAL PRISONERS

Gerry Adams, some time back, wrote an introduction to “The writings of Bobby Sands”

“That the republican prisoners are Political Prisoners is without

question. Bobby Sands’ writings say that better than I can ever hope to.

And the importance of popular mobilisations is also recognised in his

writings. Bobby wrote in ‘I fought a ·monster today’: “My body is

broken and cold. I’m lonely and I need comfort. From somewhere afar

I hear those familiar voices which keep me going: ‘We are with you,

son. We are with you. Don’t let them beat you.’ I need to hear those

voices. They anger the monster. It retreats… Sometimes I really long to hear those voices. I know if they shout louder they will scare the monster away and my suffering will be ended.” And, in the same article,

written more than two-and-a-half years ago, he concluded: “I remember,

and I shall never forget, how this monster took the lives of Tom Ashe,

Terence MacSwiney, Michael Gaughan, Frank Stagg, and Hugh Coney,

and I wonder each night what the monster will do to me tomorrow. ”

Gerry.. There are still prisoners this very day fighting the same Monsters in MagHaberry.. This time they are ignored by you and yours as there is no self-serving interest or Political kudos to be gained by publicly acknowleging the abuse and torture being suffered by Irishmen and Women in British gaols in Ireland.Gary McDaid and Gavin Coyle lie in the same conditions today as the blanketmen suffered, this time with British MI5 being given free access to inflict their mental torture..

Your namesake Samuel Adams summed it up far better in 1785 than I can today!

HET was a mechanism set up to bury the truth under the pretence of discovering the truth..Collusion is not alluded to but deliberately covered up, names left out.. So a city centre initiative manager calls and waits for the RUC/PSNI to arrest 2 street drinkers as he feels they are bring down the tone of HIS UK city of Culture… Any truth in the rumour that this same individual will be supplying alcohol to the street drinkers on condition that they stay out of the city during the fleadh in a specified area behind st columbs wells? Or what about the one where during the fleadh the majority of the city’s taxi drivers may be marginalised and not allowed to earn a living as the council has a couple of taxi firms boxed off through temporary licensing laws to enable them to feather their nests at the expense of others who would be barred from operating within the boundaries.

LIES, DAMN LIES AND STATISTICS

This week saw a local member of the 32csm before the courts following a mobile RUC patrol arresting him on a fabricated charge of using his phone whilst driving.

The arrested man who runs a local business appeared in court vehemently denying the charge, with the judge stating that he would not get a fair trial without his phone records being seen, either proving or disproving the charge.

Following the retrieval of the phone records which proved that the phone had not indeed been in use, the RUC changed their testimony to state that they never said he was on the phone but that he had it in his hand and was looking at it.

The Judge immediately accepted their change in the statement stating that he could have been looking at facebook or searching for a number and quickly fined the defendant £400 endorsing his license with 3 points.

This is your promised new (IN)justice system in operation. Perjured and falsified evidence goes before the courts and is accepted without question. Sectarian Apartheid Injustice in action and will only get worse and more prevalent before it gets better.
