Postman admits abusing 11-year-old girl while babysitting
A postman admitted sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl while he was babysitting the youngster.
Philip McLean, 41, began abusing the girl when she was 11 and carried on for 12 months, the High Court in Glasgow heard.
McLean admitted the offences which took place at a house in Kilmarnock between April 2003 and June 2004.
The court heard that the father-of-two, from Kilmarnock, often babysat the girl and Ms Fraser added: “He rewarded her with treats and privileges such as being given presents.”
The court was told that the abuse continued at least twice a week while McLean was babysitting the girl.
She eventually broke down and told her mother that McLean had been abusing her.
When McLean was interviewed by police he admitted repeatedly performing lewd and libidinous practices on the girl.
