Cromer man, 24, who sent sex texts to a schoolgirl is jailed
A Cromer man has been jailed for 16 months for urging a schoolgirl to engage in sex acts.
Geoffrey Leeder, 24, of Cadogan Road, sent a string of obscene text messages and Facebook messages to a 14-year-old girl, Norwich Crown Court heard today.
Martin Ivory, prosecuting, said Leeder asked her to engage in sexual activity, and that he also encouraged her to send a photograph of her partially nude, which she did.
The exchange of messages took place over six weeks, starting in February this year.
Leeder pleaded guilty to two counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
Michael Clare, mitigating, said: “This was phone sex, willingly entered into by both parties.
“The chances of anything happening or even being contemplated are quite small.”
