Foreign companies would build HS2
David Begg’s Transport Times Events company is holding a “Who will build HS2?” event at the Institution of Civil Engineers, One Great George Street, Westminster SW1 today. It was just £115.00 + VAT per Not for Profit delegate, or £350.00 + VAT per Profit Making delegate, to hear keynote speaker Robert Goodwill MP say “We want HS2 to show what what British design and engineering can achieve”.
Of course, HS1 was mainly designed and built by foreign companies. The event page on the Transport Times website shows the lack of domestic capability.
