Republican Sinn Fèin has been made aware that a statement on page 22 of today’s Irish Sun newspaper is completely bogus and has no connection whatsoever with the Republican Movement. Representatives from the leadership of the Continuity Irish Republican Army have been in contact with the leadership of R.S.F. and have stated that “the article carried in today’s Irish sun newspaper is completely false and is in no way connected to the C.IR.A. We will investigate the matter and individuals found falsely using the name of the C.I.R.A. will be dealt with accordingly.”   We in R.S.F. view this article as media propaganda against Republican unity and we also call upon the editor of this paper to retract this false statement and issue an apology to the family of Óglach Liam Kenny for printing a picture of him in the article. The editor must also apologise to the Republican Movement for printing this bogus article which could only serve to cause friction within the Republican community. R.S.F. send solidarity greetings to all Irish Republicans, Republican organisations and all Irish Republican P.O.W.’s incarcerated throughout the world……Forward to Freedom.

BUG PLANTED AS REPUBLICAN LAY WOUNDED
AFTER ATTACK BY ARMED DRUG DEALERS

While a lifelong Republican activist was lying wounded on the street
after being shot by drug dealers who feared his anti-drugs campaign,
the police took his keys, entered his home and planted a listening
device in a smoke alarm, a spokesman for Republican Sinn Fein said today.

Joe Lynch from Ballinacurra Weston, the editor of the RSF
paper Saoirse Nua said that the action of the police can only
be described as a disgrace and it must be totally condemned
by all right thinking people.

“A leading Republican in Dublin, Frank Nolan of Ballyfermot
was shot near his home on 7th September by local drug dealers
who feared the anti-drug campaign he was involved in and so
they shot him to frighten him.

“While he was lying wounded the police took his keys from
his pocket and raided his home as he was taken to hospital.
Luckily Frank Nolan survived and he is even more determined
to tackle the drug dealers in the community.

On his return home after his treatment in St .James’ Hospital,
he discovered that a device had been planted in a smoke alarm.
This act must be condemned. He has also had to change the locks
to his home as his family are concerned for their safety.

However neither the British or criminal gangs will deter
Frank Nolan from his work for a new and united Ireland.
He refuses to accept British rule in his country. He is the main
speaker at the Sean South commemoration in Limerick on
Sunday 1st January 2012.

CHANGE NATIONAL ANTHEM MOVE
CONDEMNED BY KERRY RSF

The declaration by Free State presidential candidate Sean Gallagher that
he would change the national
anthem has been condemned by a
spokesman for Republican Sinn Fein in Kerry.

John Sheehy from Clounmacon, Listowel the local RSF
chairman said the Free State presidential candidate must be
strongly condemned for his treasonous remarks on a recent T.V.
debate where he said he would like to change the Irish national
anthem.

Amhran na bhFiann is a symbol of our nation, it was sung by
our leaders of 1916 and is a song the people of Ireland are proud of,
he said.

“I as a true Irish man and republican will never stand to attention
for any other song. Amhran na bhFiann is a song our Irish patriot
dead paid for with their lives and we owe it to these people who
gave everything they had for the freedom of this country, which
is yet to be achieved, to safe guard the national anthem and pass
it on to the next generation.

Seán Gallagher is insulting Padraig Pearse, James Connolly, Bobby
Sands and all our patriot dead, who there are too many of to name
when he tries to subvert our National anthem.

He must apologise for this low attack on the people of Ireland.
This is a blatant effort to erase our culture and our history, the
seriousness of this cannot be overstated. Without our history and
our culture we lose our identity as a people.

Instead of trying to erase the past and destroy our culture, it is more
important than ever that we as a people are proud of our past and keep
it alive for future generations. So the Irish of the future can remember
Pearse, Sands and Tone with the pride and respect they deserve.

FINE GAEL MUST ACT ON EXPENSES CLAIMS

The failure of the leader of Fine Gael to condemn the expenses
scandal at Limerick City Council whereby one of his most
prominent Councillors had to return nearly one thousand seven
hundred euro calls into question the promises of expense reform,
a spokesman for Republican Sinn Fein in Limerick said today.

Sean O’Neill from Quinns Cottages in Prospect said the fact
that Cllr Patrick Kennedy made a claim for expenses in relation
to a vehicle that was off the road is grounds for further inquiry.
“So far no senior figure in Fine Gael has commented on the
situation in Limerick – it goes to the heart of expense reform
yet the Taoiseach and his senior Ministers are strangely
silent on the matter.

“The fact is that Cllr Kennedy claimed for expenses in relation
to a car that was in for repair and this was noticed by a City
Council official.
“Yet to date neither Cllr Kennedy nor any senior party figure
has made a public comments on the issue.
“In the run up to the budget Fine Gael and Labour are making
much of pointing out the massive cuts that have to take place
but here is an example of an abuse of public funds but they
are all silent.

“In the budget it will be the poor and weak and the deprived
who will once again bear the brunt of the cutbacks yet no
one in Fine Gael has the courage to question the actions of
one of their Councillors.”

LOYALISM STILL TARGETS NORTH MINORITIESThe emergence of Loyalist attacks on minorities in the
occupied Six Counties is yet another example of the
inherent sectarianism of this failed statelet, a spokesman
for Republican Sinn Fein said today.
Joe Lynch from Ballinacurra Weston in Limerick, the RSF
national spokesman said that the latest coverage in the
Irish News of incidents against Polish and other minorities
by Loyalist gangs is a growing trend.
“The latest attacks on minorities in the Six Counties inspired
by Loyalists exposes the sectarian nature of those who
support British rule in Ireland.

“The fact that the Provisional Movement and its leaders
surrendered and sold out to the British Crown has
re-inforced the sectarian nature of this failed province.

Loyalism has tamed the traditional opposition and
resistance as evidenced by the support for British
rule and police by the Provisionals. Instead the
Loyalists are now targeting people from poor
European countries who are trying to exist in a
new culture.

This sectarian trend is at the foundation of all
Loyalism in the Six Counties and the fact that it
now emerges again to inflict fear and terror on
minorities indicates that it has not gone away
you know.

FINE GAEL UNDER FIRE FOR RETURN TO
COMMOMWEALTH DEAL
Fine Gael 26 county presidential candidate Gay Mitchell should
apologise to the nationally minded people of Ireland for
his approval of a return to the British Commonwealth,
a spokesman for Republican Sinn Fein in Kerry said today.
John Sheehy from Clounmacon, Listowel, the local RSF
chairman said that the candidate comes from a party that
has a long history of support for British rule in Ireland.
Mr Mitchell must immediately apologise for his disgraceful remarks
he said. The people of Ireland were subjected to the
horrific genocide of the so called famine when Ireland was part of the
British Commonwealth; Ireland was united at the time of this genocide,
united under British rule. Is this the kind of Irish unity Mr Mitchell is
speaking of?
“Practically all of our country’s past misfortune is linked

to the 800 year and counting British occupation of our country, the people
of the 6 counties are still subject to the Imperial British Commonwealth,
which has brought our country great suffering, one example being Bloody
Sunday.
“The British Commonwealth, which is just another name for the

British Empire has brought our country nothing but misery, from Cromwell,
to the black and tans, the British army and the murdering S.A.S. This is
the commonwealth Gay Mitchell speaks of.
“Today we need to be working toward a united and free Ireland, the 32

county socialist Republic where all the Irish people are equal and everyone
is treated fairly. This day can only come when we end the British occupation
of Ireland, when the British army, R.U.C. and British Commonwealth are removed
from our shores forever. Gay Mitchell comes from a party with a long and bloody
history of support for British rule in Ireland and he must be condemned
for his anti-Irish rants.

FIRE CRACKERS THROWN IN CITY TRAFFIC

The activities of young people who throw bangers and

fire crackers into traffic will result in a serious accident
unless the problem is tackled urgently, a local spokesman
for Republican Sinn Fein said today.

Joe Lynch from Ballinacurra Weston, the RSF chairman
said that in recent days a series of incidents have
taken place where bangers were thrown into traffic
in the vicinity of the railway station and surrounding
streets.

“In some cases there have been near accidents caused
by the fire crackers going off and distracting drivers,
he said. “This practice is not only sheer vandalism it
also presents a serious danger to motorists and
pedestrians.

With the upcoming season of Halloween and all the
associated activity linked to the celebrations it
will be a worrying time for elderly people in the
area.

The widespread use of powerful bangers and fire
crackers must be curtailed in areas where there are
high numbers of elderly residents.

I would appeal to young people to be conscious of
their civic responsibilities and not to engage in any
activity that would lead to upset and fear for any
elderly people. Those who sell bangers and fire
crackers also have a responsibility to ensure that
their products are used safely.
